U.S. Air Force MBU-5/P Oxygen Mask & HGU-7/P Flight Helmet

The U.S. Air Force MBU-5/P Oxygen Mask used a "quick don" lever to easily remove and replace it while keeping it attached to the helmet.  Shown here paired with the HGU-7/P Flight Helmet, it was used by crew members of F.A.C., cargo, trainer and tanker type aircraft throughout the Cold War.  The helmet was issued with a snap-on visor that was generally disliked and discarded by pilots.  This MBU-5/P was made by Sierra in 1962.
