Davis Type M-2 (M-O) Gas Mask

The Davis Emergency Equipment Company Type M-2 used an orange molded rubber facepiece similar in appearance to the U.S. M4-10A1-6 Lightweight Service Gas Mask.  The mask is marked with the Bureau Of Mines stamp "B M 1408F". It was stored in a metal box with the Davis logo on the front, and instructions for use on the inside cover.  This example is shown in the M-O configuration for use with organic vapors (filter not pictured), and was made in 1942.
